Check your email for breaches

A check tells you today, breaches keep happening

A breach check shows the breaches that are publicly known right now. New ones are disclosed all the time, often long after the data first leaked.

Run a check today and you see where your email sits today. Tomorrow a company you signed up to years ago might disclose a breach, and the old result would not show it.

Checking by hand every week is easy to forget. Breach Watch does that watching for you, so a new breach involving your account email does not slip past while you are looking the other way.

It does not promise you will never be affected. It makes sure that when a new publicly known breach names your email, you find out instead of missing it.

What your free data breach alerts include

Breach Watch is built to be quiet and honest: one confirmed inbox, a daily re-check, and an email only when something new turns up.

Free, with no paid plan

Breach Watch runs inside a free Data Exposed account. There is no paid plan of ours, no trial to cancel and nothing to buy later.

Only new breaches reach you

We email you only when a new publicly known breach includes your account email. Breaches already linked to your email do not trigger another message, so your inbox stays quiet.

Your inbox is confirmed first

Nothing starts until you click the link we send and prove the inbox is yours. The link works for 48 hours, so nobody can set up alerts for an email they do not own.

A daily re-check

Once a day we compare your confirmed account email against publicly known breaches, so a newly disclosed breach reaches you within a day rather than whenever you remember to look.

One account email, watched for you

It watches the email you sign in with. To look up any other address, use the free breach check, which needs no account.

From sign-up to your first alert, step by step

Five minutes to set up, then the daily re-check does the watching.

  1. Create your free account

Sign up with your email. There is no paid plan and nothing to cancel, so the only decision is which email you want watched.

  2. Confirm you own the inbox

Click the link we send to your email. It works for 48 hours and proves the inbox is yours before any watch begins.

  3. We re-check daily

Once a day we compare your confirmed account email against publicly known breaches. You do not need to do anything to keep it running.

  4. You hear from us only about new

When a new breach includes your email, we send one email naming the breach and what it exposed. Breaches already linked to your email do not prompt another message.

  5. Open the full result and act

Follow the link to the free breach check for the complete result, then work through the recovery plan, most important fixes first.

  6. Export or delete whenever you want

Download everything we hold about you, or delete your account and its data, at any time. You stay in control of the watch.

Alert and account questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Breach Watch cost anything?
No. There is no paid plan of ours and no trial to cancel. Any outbound affiliate links elsewhere on the site are disclosed next to the link.
Which email address does it watch?
Only your account email, the one you sign in with and confirm. To look up any other address, use the free breach check, which needs no account and shows the result straight away.
Why do I have to confirm my inbox?
The confirmation link proves the inbox is yours before any watch begins, so nobody can set up alerts for an email they do not own. The link works for 48 hours. If it lapses, you can request a new one.
How often do you check?
Once a day. We re-check your confirmed account email against publicly known breaches on a daily basis, so a newly disclosed breach reaches you within about a day.
Will I get emails about breaches I already know about?
No. We email you only when a new breach includes your account email. Breaches already linked to your email do not trigger another message, so the alerts stay meaningful rather than constant.
Does Breach Watch scan the dark web?
No. It watches publicly known breaches only. We do not search, buy or hold stolen data, and we do not scan the dark web.
Is this identity protection?
No. Breach Watch is an alert about publicly known breaches, not monitoring of your identity, bank or credit. It cannot tell you that you are safe or protected, and it cannot remove data from a breach.
Can I stop the alerts or delete my account?
Yes. You can download everything we hold about you, or delete your account and its data, at any time. Deleting the account ends the daily re-check.
